Robin Thicke Pays Tribute To 'Best Friend' Alan Thicke After His Death

Robin Thicke paid tribute to his father Alan Thicke with a touching note on Instagram on early Wednesday morning (December 14).

In his letter, the 39-year-old singer referred to Alan as "the best man [he] ever knew" and decided to remember his pops for all the happiness he brought folks. "Let's all rejoice and celebrate the joy he brought to every room he was in," he wrote. Alan was 69-years-old.

Thicke also spoke with the Los Angeles Times after his father's death, revealing that he saw Alan in recent days. "The good thing was that he was beloved and he had closure. I saw him a few days ago and told him how much I loved and respected him," said Robin.

News of Alan's death surfaced on Tuesday night after TMZ revealed that the TV legend had a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter. After being transported to Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank on Tuesday afternoon, he was pronounced dead. Thicke is survived by sons Robin, Carter, Brennan and wife Tanya.

Carter also took to social media to remember his father in a heartbreaking post, which included a photo of the duo. "Today I lost my best friend and my idol, and the world lost one of it's finest. You are a legend and I love you Pops. Until next time," he wrote. See the post below!
