22-year RHP Tyler Mahle, a 7th round pick of the Reds in 2013, tossed a perfect game for Double-A Pensacola Saturday night.
Mahle needed just 88 pitches, 66 strikes in beating Mobile 2-0.
He is 4-0 on the year and has an ERA of 0.68, 26.2 IN, 7 H, 2 ER, 27 K, 5 BB.
The Reds’ 2015 Minor League Player of the Year, tossed a no-hitter last season for Class A Daytona.
Mahle was ranked the Reds’ No. 12 prospect by Baseball America before the season.
MLB Pipeline ranks him the No. 10 prospect in the organization.
