Will Brinson from CBSSports.com wrote an interesting piece about NFL rookies. He names the rookie who could have the biggest impact for their team and one rookie (per division) who could lead their team to a division crown.
In the AFC North he wrote about Bengals running back Joe Mixon. Here's an excerpt of what he wrote:
"He should end up winning the starting running back job and he could very quickly become one of the most impressive rookies in the league if he puts his full talent on display. Mixon is a big back who can catch passes and do about anything you would want as an offensive coordinator."
I couldn't agree more with Brinson. There's a reason the Bengals took a chance on Mixon. It wasn't because they view him as a good player. They believe he can be great. We watched a less-talented rookie running back in Jeremy Hill lead the Bengals to the playoffs in 2014. Mixon has a chance to have that kind of impact for the Bengals in 2017.
