The Bengals got a scare during Thursday's practice when rookie running back Joe Mixon tweaked his left foot during 11-on-11 drills. Mixon limped to the sideline and returned for a play. He ran a route and looked fine. After that he went to the sideline and had his foot looked at. He didn't return to practice, but he was walking around with his shoe on. Geoff Hobson reports that he has a bruised heel and could've returned to practice. Rookie linebacker Carl Lawson has stood out all camp and did so again today. Lawson's athleticism, strength and explosiveness should be a boost to the Bengals' pass rush.
Tony Pike comes up short in our video, as we recap today's practice below.
