Bengals safety George Iloka returned to practice today. It was still a light day for Iloka, but he was in full pads. Even with his return, it looks like Josh Shaw will remain at safety. He worked with the safeties during position drills. That gives the Bengals some clarity at the cornerback position. Darqueze Dennard could end up being the starting nickel corner, with William Jackson III getting most of his reps outside. Adam Jones and Dre Kirkpatrick are the starters, but Jackson III seems like the favorite to start Week 1 with Jones suspended.
Rookie wide receiver John Ross was practicing again today. That's a good sign for Ross, who was cleared for contact yesterday following offseason shoulder surgery. Will Ross play in the preseason? Is the shoulder 100 percent? I asked him those questions and more earlier today in the Bengals' locker room.
