Cincinnati Reds Five-Time World Series Champions Bobblehead Unveiled

MILWAUKEE, Wi., October 31, 2017 – – This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled a bobblehead commemorating the Cincinnati Reds’ five World Series Championships. The bobbleheads, which will be individually numbered to only 1,000, are only available in the National Bobblehead HOF and Museum’s Online StoreThis is the first bobbleheads commemorating all five of Cincinnati’s World Series titles, which were in 1919, 1940, 1975, 1976 and 1990.

The bobblehead features the Cincinnati Reds’ mascot, Mr. Redlegs, holding two replica World Series trophies. Three additional replica World Series trophies are on the base of the bobblehead, which is in the shape of the Reds’ logo. The bobblehead features a commemorative backing that lists the years of the Reds’ championships.

This bobblehead is part of an exclusive series by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum commemorating MLB World Series Champions. Bobbleheads featuring World Series Champions and their mascots were not produced until 2001, and no bobbleheads have been produced commemorating all championships for each franchise. The St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox bobbleheads were released earlier this year, while bobbleheads commemorating the World Series titles for the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Royals, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, Oakland Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays were unveiled today.

"These bobbleheads are the perfect way for die-hard Reds’ fans to commemorate Cincinnati’s five World Series titles,” said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “These will be cherished collectibles that bring back great memories of championship seasons.”

The officially licensed bobbleheads are expected to ship in February, just in time for Spring Training. They cost $40 each, with flat rate shipping of $8. All bobbleheads in the series were produced exclusively for the National Bobblehead HOF by Forever Collectibles and are officially licensed.

"We strongly encourage people to secure the bobbleheads during the presale to ensure they don’t miss out,” said Brad Novak, Co-Founder and President of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “Only 1,000 of each bobblehead will ever be produced, so we don’t expect them to last long.”
