Consider this a 'Back to School' Edition.....things I thought about this week with school starting up.

The anticipation of a snow day when listening to the announcements on the radio

Taping posters inside your locker
Being called on in class when you had no idea what the answer was. Staring intently....for what seemed like forever....hoping teacher would move on.
Gym clothes....the smell of those gym clothes at the end of the week
Trading food at lunch. I was a mini-Jim Bowden wheeler/dealer. Ding Dongs and Fruit Pies were high demand foods.
Shopping for school clothes with my mom, and the clash of your 'cool' and her 'practical'
Ms. Dennedy at Anderson Middle School. She was known as D.T. (Detention) Dennedy. I never got one!

Square dancing in gym class? Allemande left and a do-si-do!
Taking Latin as my foreign language…for some reason
Passing around a name the “starting lineup for this MLB team” notes in class. My teacher intercepted one about the Minnesota Twins. After looking at it, he said, "Butch Wynegar, catcher."
