On Saturday, the Phillies scored 12 runs in the first inning of their game against the Nationals. On Sunday, Marty made mention of Philly's big first inning and began talking about the game in 1989 that saw the Reds hang a 14-spot on the Astros in the first inning at Riverfront. I remember being at the Erlanger Putt-Putt as that game was being played. I believe we played 36 holes in the time it took to play the first inning. Anyway, I found the ESPN SportsCenter highlight package from that day, which is fun to watch.
