Bret Boone spent five of his 14 big league seasons in Cincinnati, helping the Reds to the 1995 NL Central title. That season, he authored one of my favorite all-time moments, a walk-off home run off of Randy Myers to beat the Cubs at Riverfront. Bret will be back in Cincinnati along with a long list of former Reds players to play in Friday night's Reds Hall of Fame Legends Game at Great American Ballpark.
He joined me on ESPN1530 to discuss his time as a Red, the homer off of Myers, growing up in a baseball family, watching his brother manage the Yankees, and his podcast, which is excellent. Listen to our conversation here....
