GOP Senator Collins Explains Decision To Oppose Trump

Republican Senator Susan Collins of Maine is explaining her decision not to vote for Donald Trump. Collins said she concluded that the Republican presidential nominee is "not suitable to be president of our great country." Collins describes herself as a life-long Republican who has always supported the party's nominee.

However, she says her growing concerns over Trump reached a breaking point when Trump criticized the parents of a fallen Muslim-American soldier after the father spoke at the Democratic National Convention. Collins said that proved to her that Trump lacks the temperament and judgment to heal divisions in the country. Collins isn't sure how she will cast her vote in November. She says she won't vote for Hillary Clinton and that she's considering voting for the Libertarian Party or writing in a candidate.
