We missed you, Dave! After Netflix and Dave Chappelle announced last year that three new stand-up comedy specials were on the way in 2017, we've been anxiously waiting on a release date. Fast forward to today and a new teaser trailer just dropped revealing that the first two specials will be available for streaming on Netflix on March 21st.
“I know I’ve been gone for a very long time,” Chappelle says in the teaser trailer as he pensively smokes a cigarette while clips from his past stand-up specials play. Entertainment Weekly reports that the one of the specials, The Age of Spin, was filmed in March 2016 at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium, while the other, Deep in the Heart of Texas, was filmed during Austin City Limits Live at Austin’s Moody Theater on April 2015.
Put March 21st down on your calendar because you know this is going to be good.
