Guns N' Roses Perform "Shadow of Your Love" for First Time 30 Years

Just one show after Guns N' Roses performed a cover of Velvet Revolver's "Slither," the band reached deep into its own catalog to perform a rare track from its early days.

"Shadow of Your Love" was released as a single in May to promote the band's expanded reissue of its groundbreaking 1987 debut, Appetite for Destruction

Setlist.fm reports that GNR hadn't performed the song since June 22, 1987, until Tuesday night.

The song was written by Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin's pre-Guns N' Roses band Hollywood Rose. It was recorded in GNR's initial sessions for Appetite, but didn't make the album's final cut. Despite that, the song is a familiar track to many GNR super fans, who have uncovered live versions and bootlegs over the years.

GNR's massive reissue of Appetite for Destruction includes complete with 49 previously unreleased songs from that era. The box set arrives. June 29.

Guns N' Roses is continuing its tour this summer in Europe. The band will have September and October off before returning to the road in Asia in November.
