Kelly ordered the famous Cherry Thing-a-Lings from Schmidt Bakery in Batesville. Can't wait. Never tried them. They are available for online order and delivery. Clem Schmidt first created them in the winter of 1975.

Maggie Rose (big fan) and Vince Gill just released a cover of Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" (1991)...it's pretty incredible. Former Bengal, turned Grammy winning songwriter, Mike Reid wrote the original version.

Set the record aside, Mark Pope seems to be the perfect "person" to follow John Calipari in Lexington.

I'd be willing to drive to Atlanta and pickup Al Golden to be the Bengals defensive coordinator following Monday night's CFB championship game.

We are at 71 breweries visited within 50 miles of our driveway, and holding. We're looking forward to Depot Brewing Company opening in Morrow.

I'm very happy for the success Travis Steele and the Redhawks are having. He's got a group that can flat out shoot it.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue (on-line) came out this week. Remember how big a deal that used to be? I also enjoyed the Letters to the Editor the next week with the people wanting to cancel their subscription.

Chicago PD and The Rookie are back!

How cold was it this week? I slept with socks on. I hating sleeping with socks on.

Has a UC basketball team ever been able to shoot free throws?

I miss taking lunch to Casey and Peyton at school and sitting at the lunch table with their friends. I'd usually pick up Wendy's or Skyline.

Reds fantasy camp wrapped up last night in Goodyear. My dad and I played on the 2006 championship team managed by Jack Billingham. What an experience! My dad, then age 65, started every game.

I applied to three colleges: Butler, Indiana and Ball State. I was initially rejected by Butler.

I bet nobody else here saw The Cheetah Girls in concert. I took Peyton about 15 years ago.

There was something about using a can opener to punch two holes and then pour a giant can of Hawaiian Punch as a kid.

I embrace technology. But I'm not giving up on my clock radio on the nightstand next to my side of bed.

Don't worry about things you don't care about
