Reds 11 Brewers 7
They’re alive! The Reds bats busted out for 14 hits, matching their total over the previous four games. They blasted four homers: Blake Dunn, TJ Friedl, Christian Encarnacion-Strand and Jose Trevino, to snap a four game losing streak.
The Reds will go for a series split Sunday, trying to avoid an 11th consecutive series loss to the Brewers.
The night wasn’t without chaos. The Reds saw a 7-0 4th inning lead sliced to 7-5 by the 5th, thanks to more mistakes. Friedl lost track of outs on the bases and was doubled up. Jake Fraley let a bases loaded single roll under his glove to the wall to clear the bases, and didn't exactly appear to bust tail after it. Fraley was picked off/leaving early as the potential tying run earlier in the week. #AccuntabilityTester. Later, a 10-5 lead was trimmed to 10-7 in the 7th.
