Reds 24 Orioles 2
The Reds ended Charlie Morton’s day with a seven run 2nd inning….and never let up on a 25 hit day. In all, 10 Reds had at least a hit, a run and an RBI.
O’s shortstop Jorge Mateo pitched the 8th and allowed five runs. Catcher Gary Sanchez pitched the 9th and allowed four runs. It became farcical.
Brent Suter tossed three innings as the ‘opener’ and Randy Wynne closed things with three innings. That’s a big six innings.
The Reds took the series and got back to .500 at 11-11.
