Cubs score 11 unanswered to batter Reds

The Reds led 4-0, 4-2 and 6-2. But the Cubs took it from there and scored 11 unanswered runs, in and around more suspect defense and baserunning by the Reds (25-27).

Pete Crow Armstrong’s 7th inning grand slam off the right-field foul pole highlighted a six run inning. The 23-year old belted two homers and drove in six runs.

The Cubs scored 6 in the 7th, 3 in the 8th and 2 in the 9th. They belted four homers.

Hunter Greene allowed two runs over four innings of work in his return from the IL. Pitching for the first time in 16 days, he was done in by a stressful 34 pitch 4th.
