Andrew Abbott was brilliant in tossing a complete game shutout. All three Reds outfielders made excellent catches to back his effort.
One run from the offense was.....enough.
With the tying run at first base, Carlos Santana flew out to the warning track in left field to end the game.
It was the first complete game shutout by a Reds pitcher since Wade Miley's no-hitter in Cleveland in 2021. The first 1-0 complete game win since Homer Bailey's no-hitter vs the Pirates in 2012.
The Reds (35-33) have won a season-high tying five straight games. They take the series vs the Guardians, go for a sweep of the six game season series Wednesday afternoon, and back to back sweeps overall.
