Dodgers belt five homers and beat Reds

Dodgers 10 Reds 5

The Dodgers rocked Hunter Greene for three homers in the first three innings, and hit a franchise postseason record tying five on the night.

Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernandez each clobbered two long balls. The Dodgers pounded out 15 hits, crushing 11 balls at 100+ mph off the bat.

Trailing 8-0, the Reds scored twice in the 7th and three times in the 8th. They snapped their postseason scoreless streak at 29.2 innings.

Down 10-5, they loaded the bases with one out in the 8th. But Tyler Stephenson struck out in an 11 pitch AB (swung at ball four) and Ke'Bryan Hayes popped out.

If nothing else, the Reds answered back, found some late offense/confidence, and made LA use three relievers in the 8th.

Ohtani led off the game with a homer that came in at 100 mph and went out at 117.7 mph. Hernandez rocketed a three-run 3rd inning shot, and Tommy Edman followed with a solo blast. Hernandez did it again in the 5th, with Ohtani matching him in the 6th, both off Connor Phillips.
