The older I get, the more 8pm feels like 11pm

Ever sneeze while holding a mug full of coffee?

Songs I cranked the radio to this week: 'Pictures of You' (The Cure) and Use Somebody (Kings of Leon).

Following the Bengals has become much more job related than fan related, for me.

I don't rake leaves. Whatever the mower takes care of, it takes care of.

If the Reds payroll isn't going up after a nearly 150,000 increase in attendance from 2024, and their largest attendance since 2015, when would it ever go up?

We live in an age where people don't want to know something, nearly as much as they just want to say something.

I'd buy stock in Paul Fritschner's broadcast career. Tireless worker. Versatile. Easy listen. Comfortable behind the mic/in front of the camera. Check out his daily Rebound Rundown.

I think I've become really good at filtering out things that I simply don't care about.

Kelly bought me a bag of shelled pistachios. Feels like cheating.

Joe Burrow is healthy. He's been medically cleared. He plays. The defense doesn't matter. That said, sure, I'll hold my breath each time he drops back.

I forgot, until Rocky reminded me, that his Colts GM (Bill Polian) hosted a weekly hour long call-in show in Indianapolis. Imagine.

Students/fans don't have an obligation to show up to support their team/school. They just don't. Teams/schools have to earn their time/money.

Casey and I still haven't been to Knockback Nats.

I will continue to maintain that the price of paper plates is the biggest grocery item ripoff going.

Each time I think Scott Satterfield is creating some belief, they lose a game like last week vs Arizona.

I miss a good backyard pickup football game with an all-time QB.

Mac and cheese as a Thanksgiving side? Yes.

I keep hearing people talking about 'rushing' Burrow back? According to whom? The Bengals never offered a recovery timeline. How would you possibly know how his rehab has gone and how his toe feels?

I just don't see how the Reds get a viable bat without trading Hunter Greene or Brady Singer.

The WKRP in Cincinnati 'Turkeys Away' episode is so fantastically written/executed. A theatre of the mind work of art.

I flashback to the days of tracing my hand to make a drawing of a turkey.

Based on his poor tackling and lack of effort, I just don't know how you keep playing Geno Stone. It's insulting.

My music text conversation with Peyton this week was about Somber. Her response: I like his music, he’s a bit of a weirdo, but not in a bad way.

I stumbled across a highlight reel of Walter Payton. Man. That dude was something else. Smooth and powerful!

New show we are watching: The Beast In Me (Netflix). Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys are really, really good.

Remember the stench of our gym clothes when we took them home at the end of the week?

Underrated aspect of Thanksgiving: The day after sandwich with all the leftovers piled on!

I find myself going to bed earlier and waking up earlier.

Found the final 10 minutes of 'A Few Good Men' while flipping channels this week!

Random guests on my show over the years: Mr. T, Matthew Modine, Gary Sandy, Mark Cuban, Summer Sanders, Marvin Miller.

While decisions might have been debatable at times, I miss the ability of Dick Williams to be upfront in delivering a clear and concise vision and message for what he was trying to do and why. The Reds have consistently failed at this since his departure.

Don't worry about things you don't care about
