The dumbest thing in college basketball isn’t coaches cheating, or the lies that cheating coaches tell about how they’re not cheating.
It’s not the fact that the players aren’t allowed to capitalize on their market value and get paid accordingly.
It’s not the fact that the NCAA reportedly produced $1.1 billion in revenue last year, yet shutters at the very suggestion that college sports are a business.
It’s not that a team that can spend its entire season getting manhandled then suddenly catch fire, win four games in four days and qualify for March’s Madness.
It’s not even that there’s a website dedicated to tracking the daily projections of nearly 100 professional and amateur bracketologists.
The dumbest thing in college basketball is the postgame handshake line.
