I told you last week that the Reds should hold off on the decision to remove the interim tag from Jim Riggleman’s job title, instead at least waiting until the completion of an expansive vetting process before settling on the next manager.
I pleaded for the front office to hold off on making any rash, reactionary moves. I acknowledged that the team has played more than capably since Riggleman succeeded Bryan Price, but made that case that there’s no reason to act so suddenly.
But I think I might be OK if the Reds did make one permanent decision without waiting.
