Shayne Graham was a Bengals kicker for seven seasons, and he remains the franchise's all-time leader in field goal accuracy. He also kicked for nine other NFL franchises across a career in which he accounted for over 1,200 points. He coached new Bengals kicker Evan McPherson last season as a Special Teams Quality Control Coach at Florida, and he joined me on ESPN1530 to tell us why the Bengals were right in using a fifth round draft pick on McPherson, the impact of Special Teams Coach Darrin Simmons, and the mental makeup needed to be a successful NFL kicker. He also remembered beating the Bengals with four field goals in a playoff game for the Texans, and he discussed the same intact long snapping and holding team Shayne worked with in Cincinnati in 2009 that McPherson will be joining in 2021.
