2022 W&S Open Rd of 16 Keys vs Rybakina

The 2019 Western and Southern Open champ looked to climb back to the top of the mountain here in 2022. First she would have to get by her third straight Grand Slam champion. Madison Keys took on defending Wimbledon Champion Elena Rybakina Friday in quarterfinal action.

Keys cruised early winning the first set 6-2. She would continue to stay on pace in the second, quickly going up 4-1. Then trouble would find the American. Rybakina would get a service break and hold serve her self and close the gap to 4-3. Both player would hold serve, and then Keys would finally put away Rybakina.
