2022 W&S Open Semifinals Tsitsipas vs Medvedev

The scheduled first semifinal match at the Western and Southern Open on Saturday ended up being the second semifinal match due to rain. It would prove to not only be a fun match to watch, but a long one as well.

The #1 ranked player in the world Daniil Medvedev, took on the #7 ranked player Stefanos Tsitsipas with a trip to the finals on the line.

Tsitsipas would strike first winning a back and forth 1st set. Medvedev would bounce back with a couple of breaks in the second, and would send the match to a third. It would be the Greek God of Tennis who would rebound in the third set and take the trip to the finals.
